Post Convert Blu-ray for DLNA streaming on LAN via Netgear WNDR45
Convert Blu-ray for DLNA streaming on LAN via Netgear WNDR4500 router

DLNA does not support Blu-ray streaming. Here shows you how to rip Blu-ray videos to serve on my LAN using DLNA via a Netgear WNDR4500 router.

DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) allows us to stream media content between devices connected to the same home network, without having to store the content on both devices. (Learn how to enjoy Galaxy Note 3 Video on PS3 Via Allshare-DLNA) Have some Blu-ray like "Legend of Hercules", "Dawn of Planet of the Apes" and "Blood Diamond" in hand like me and want to rip them to serve on LAN using DLNA via a Netgear WNDR4500 router?

However, I have some difficulty realizing this goal since usually Blu-ray movies are copy-protected and cannot be played on any other unauthorized devices. I tried several Blu-ray rippers (Leawo, Aieesoft, Xillisoft, MakeMKV, Handbrake etc.) but at last I found Pavtube BDMagic for Mac is the flexible and easiest to use one to rip my Blu-ray (a little over a thousand movies so far in addition to over 3000 TV show episodes) to DLNA for playback with Mac OS X on several Smart TV’s in the house and on iPhones and iPads via my router. (Read the reviews) Here is my sharing.

Pavtube exports qualitified video with reasonable size when ripping Blu-ray to DLNA. And the time it takes to convert in this software is almost half that in other. If you’re using a Windows PC, Pavtube BDMagic is what you need. Just download the program and follow the guide below to rip videos from Blu-ray discs to DLNA in just a few mouse clicks.

In addition to Blu-ray, you can also rip DVD and convert MKV for streaming via DLNA.

The Steps: Convert Blu-ray for DLNA streaming on LAN via Netgear WNDR4500 router

Step 1: Insert your Blu-ray disc into Blu-ray drive and then launch the Blu-ray Ripper for DLNA. You can also import ISO files, IFO files or Blu-ray/DVD folder for conversion.
